Product Categories & Purchase Options

Illuminate Smile offers two purchase pathways:

 

Consumer (Non-Prescription Products)

Consumers may purchase non-prescription dental products directly without dentist approval, including but not limited to:

• Whitening trays
• Toothpaste
• Oral care accessories
• Home whitening kits excluding prescription whitening gels

Dentist-Approved Whitening Products

Certain whitening products — including whitening gels containing active bleaching agents — are classified under UK regulations as prescription-only dental products.

• These products cannot be supplied without dentist approval
• Approval may be required prior to purchase or prior to dispatch
• Subscription whitening gel plans are only available to dentist-approved patients

Orders placed without required approval may be delayed, modified, or cancelled.

Dentist Approval Process

Where dentist approval is required:

• Patients must be assessed by a registered dental professional
• Approval may be facilitated through our partnered dental network
• Illuminate Smile reserves the right to refuse supply if approval criteria are not met

Approval decisions are clinical in nature and not influenced by commercial considerations.

Dental Professional Accounts (B2B)

Dental professionals purchasing from Illuminate Smile confirm that:

• They are a registered dental professional in their jurisdiction
• Products purchased for professional use will be used in accordance with applicable dental regulations
• They are responsible for patient suitability, consent, and aftercare

We reserve the right to request verification and suspend or terminate professional accounts if misuse is identified.

• Whitening is not suitable for everyone
• Products do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease
